CNC/ Manual Turner/s
Location: : Sheffield
Rate: £ 18.8 to £ 29 K (full-time (per year)) + Additional benefits when premanent role secured. Excellent opportunity.
CNC Turner and Manual Turner
Apprentice trained or experienced Lathe operators required with experience on Fagor, Fanuc controls for CNC lathes. Setting, operating and potentially editing programs on large machines which will be machining hydraulics pipes for the oil field. Manual machinists also needed, require experience or apprenticeship.
Negotiable rates of pay dependant on candidate’s skills and experience, overtime and shift premiums additional. Days; Monday to Friday and 5x twelve hour night shifts, rotating.
Sheffield based site in S9 area.
The company are lead manufacturers/ repairers of hydraulic cylinders with over 30 years experience in the industry. Turning, boring, milling and honing are their specialist machining skills along with Welding and slotting capabilities. Components range 24-60 inch diameter, 4-20 feet in length and upto 25 tonne in weight. Recently bought a new Centre Lathe (Holler Spindal machine) 35 tonne, large enough to climb into. 10 Metre bed.
Large contract won which requires an increase in machinists between now and the New Year.
The candidate must have skills working with large components and preferably from an oil field back ground working to tight tolerances and ability to work from detailed drawings, working as a team or alone meeting set deadlines.
